Reopening terminal sections, strict epidemiological measures at Budapest Airport

From 28 March, Budapest Airport is reopening some passenger circulation areas closed earlier at Ferenc Liszt International Airport. The following changes will be in effect from Sunday:

• Check-in will recommence at Terminal 2A, the Terminal 2A arrivals hall and Pier 1 will be reopened.
• Passenger security screening will be performed at both Terminals 2A and 2B.

Information on the transit area: 

• The checks of passengers arriving from the Schengen zone are carried out at Pier 1.
• The checks of passengers arriving from non-Schengen areas or a non-EU Schengen country are undertaken at Terminal 2B and Pier B.
• Flights departing for Schengen destinations will board at Terminal 2A, Pier 1 and Pier B.
• Flights leaving for non-Schengen destinations will board at Terminal 2B and Pier B.

Budapest Airport asks travelers to monitor the passenger information systems at the airport during departure for the latest information.

Pursuant to effective entry regulations, passengers arriving from Schengen countries must have their documents checked as well, which could result in longer waiting times. 

Budapest Airport maintains the measures whereby the risk of infection at the airport can be minimized, so that passengers can set off on their flights in a clean and safe environment, seamlessly and with a high service quality, even with the necessary health protection measures.

Budapest Airport safeguards the health of passengers and staff in line with prevailing regulations, based on international best practice and with accreditations from international organizations, which is attested by certificates from ACI and EASA.
